Kapp has been chosen to pursue the installation of heat exchangers used for waste water treatment in Chile.

Our technology is renowned for the treatment of aqueous effluents.

The device that has been installed counts 5 identical skids that include monotubular heat exchangers with large diameters.

This equipment ensures the control of the digestion tanks’ temperature (at approximately 37°C) in order for the bacteria to achieve their role in the most appropriate conditions. The effluents, also called sludge, will go through a series of heat exchangers in order to receive power.

This technology has been chosen considering the viscosity of the effluents (30 mPas.s), which are full of impurities (fibres, tows and papers). The effluents go through the internal tube and the modules are interconnected with pipe elbows, which allows to avoid clogging and ease the tubes’ cleaning (after the bends’ disassembly).
