Kapp has more than 25 years of experience and industrial know-how

In December 2013, KAPP took over the activities of Mersen Brignais.

By keeping employees in place, we have been able to keep the history, know-how and skills that made the strength of the Heat Exchangers department, while revitalizing it. In order to always satisfy our customers, the company has developed in parallel its boilermaking process activity.

With this expertise, KAPP guarantees the quality of its products in terms of design and manufacturing (CODAP, AD MERKBLATT / AD 2000, ASME). We are ISO 9001 – V2015 certified by TÜV SÜD. All our equipment comply with PED2014/68/EU.

KAPP’s wish today is to be able to offer to our customers reliable and innovative solutions in order to fully answer to their challenges

History

1993 – 1998

5 years to develop skills in thermal sizing and to become a specialist in heat exchangers.

1998

Creation of a manufacturing workshop for the line of welded plates heat exchangers in Lyon.

1998 – 2003

5 years to develop skills in mechanical calculation, welding and to become an expert of welded plate heat exchangers

2003 – 2013

  • New factory in Brignais, 2400 m² workshop, 500 m² offices
  • 10 years to strengthen skills, set up a high-performance manufacturing center, and become an international supplier
  • Certified ISO9001 since more than 15 years
  • New patent on HXEN

2013

  • Purchase of Mersen Brignais heat exchanger activities by KAPP, and development of stainless steel and high grade metals boiler activities

2017

KAPP moves into a new plant of 4300m2 area and new tools and machines specially designed for optimizing production.

KAPP teams operate in 2 areas:

Thanks to our own softwares dedicated to our specific products and thanks to ASPEN HTFS software for the design of tubular heat exchangers and the calculation of mixtures via a thermodynamic module.

Thanks to SolidWorks (CAD – 3D settings) and Microprotol which allows mechanical calculation notes for all our products according to international manufacturing codes.

Beyond its technical skills, KAPP offers a real spirit of service by listening, flexibility and responsiveness of our teams

To offer you the best of its expertise, KAPP has been able to invest in modern and efficient production tools.

  • 3,800 m² workshop
  • High-tech production equipment
  • Lifting bridges up to 40 Tons with a hook height of 8-10 meters
  • Appropriate tools: stamping machines, Numeric command bending, Numeric command punching, automatic spot welding, TIG welding machine, automatic stud welding, orbital welding, tubes expending machine, rolling.

The objective of our R&D department: To increase performance and competitiveness through innovative products.

Beyond the production of industrial installations, KAPP is working on the evolution and optimization of its welding methods, in order to offer you the most reliable products by improving the robotization of its production tools.
